In 1982 after she retired she married porn actor Jack Birch.  And many do not realize that Thora was only 17 when she was in American Beauty.

Interesting. I did get a sense that the story details seemed specific, I just didn't realize it was based on a novel, though. Fantastic!

Oh, and this is actually based on the 1759 novel "Candide", by Voltaire.  Essentially a satire where the man almost blissfully ignorant goes through his life, going from one disaster to another while still trying to keep a happy outlook.

And it is one of two porn movies made in 1978 that was based on the same story.  The other was "Erotic Adventures of Candy".

Alex was one of the most influential adult filmmakers in history.  He is one of those that helped turn it to an art form.

He made dozens of movies until retiring that name in 1993 and moving to the straight to video industry.  Where he mostly turned out over 200 shorts about anal sex.

And the movie is filmed in and around Carson City, Nevada.
